Shale 2

$25.00

This piece contains some of the finest detail we can produce. It looks right at home in any scale, from Z to G. Note how there’s just a trace of broken-down rock included in the casting. Shales aren’t all that strong, so seeing pieces broken off the original outcrop is really common.

Check out the bedding detail in these photos of Shale 2. You won’t find that level of detail anywhere else. There’s a reason for that—they can only be produced in flexible rubber! With any other material, these fine beds would break off at the slightest touch, leaving an unrealistic bright white scar that you would have to fix. With Rubber Rocks, the rocks just bounce back. And this detail doesn’t require a lot of room to show off. Shale 2 measures 12 inches by 4 inches, with only about a half inch of relief.
